In Victorian times the Isle of Wight was considered a fashionable spa retreat for those wanting to escape the smog of the city and rejuvenate in the fresh Island air. The Island has its own sunny microclimate, so as well as relaxing in beautiful surroundings, you can enjoy a temperature that’s a few degrees warmer than the rest of the UK.
There are spas set in stunning locations all across the Island, some within Victorian high streets and others right on the seafront so you can watch the sun sinking down into the water as you completely unwind during a full body massage. Some spas offer packages with refreshments so you can sit on your own private balcony with a cup of tea and fresh pastry, listening to the waves creeping up on to shore.
If you fancy really pushing the boat out, check into a hotel which has its own spa facilities. Recline in a state of the art hydro-pool, visit the steam room and indulge in a holistic treatment session before a perfect night’s sleep in your hotel room.
Also on offer are beauty treatments such a facials, manicures, pedicures and waxing.
