There are countless places on the Isle of Wight that offer ideal walks for children who might need some incentives! Explore our beaches where you’ll be tempted to ice creams, go on a nature adventure in our woodlands or combine a walk with one of our many popular tourist attractions.
Combine a beach day with a leisurely stroll between award-winning Sandown and Shanklin bays.
This woodland walk will give children lots to see and space to play as they explore their way through a small copse and woodland.
Another woodland route; this walk takes you on footpaths and bridleways through Combley Great Wood and is a comfortable two mile stroll.
The beaches at Ryde offer more adventure for children as the sand stretches for miles at low tide. Not only this, but there are plenty of play parks and activities for the whole family to enjoy in Appley and Puckpool.
Children will love searching for real dinosaur fossils on the beaches of the Isle of Wight. There’s certainly a lot of evidence that proves prehistoric life existed here!
