With nearly 90 vessels The Boat Shed has an impressive collection. Each vessel will tell a fascinating story of the maritime history of the Isle of Wight and Solent waters. 

The vessels on show feature dinghies, classic yachts, power boats and lifeboats including the Jessie Lumb which you can climb aboard and explore. There is also Sir Ben Ainslie’s 2017 America’s Cup test boat BAR-T1 to admire. 

The Boat Shed is not just a maritime museum but it is a hive of activity with the restoration of classic boats. 

There is also a sister maritime museum, The Gallery, that is located in East Cowes, just across the River Medina.
