Island CraftWorks CIC is a welcoming non-profit creative studio in the heart of Ryde, offering thoughtfully guided workshops where creativity, connection, and craft come together. Create meaningful memories together.

Workshops for everyone

Our relaxed hands-on sessions are designed for visitors and locals looking for a calm, memorable experience - perfect for solo visitors, couples, families, friends, rainy days, birthdays, and small groups. No experience is needed, and beginners are always warmly welcomed.

All materials are provided, and you’ll take home a finished piece as a creative souvenir of your time on the island, carefully made by you to enjoy or as a special gift.

Weekly workshops

Wednesday wellness workshops
Wednesdays • 11am–1pm • £5

Gentle creative wellbeing workshops designed to help you relax, reconnect, and enjoy mindful creativity in a supportive environment. A wonderful low-pressure space to unwind, meet others, and take time for yourself.

Saturday studio sessions
Saturdays • 11am–1pm

Creative themed workshops exploring crafts such as macramé, paper flowers, seasonal wreaths, seashell art, vision boards, and more. Workshops change regularly throughout the year.

Bank Holiday & half-term workshops

Throughout school holidays and Bank Holiday weekends, Island CraftWorks also offers relaxed family-friendly creative sessions, including paper flowers, seasonal crafts, and drop-in workshops suitable for beginners.

All materials and refreshments are included, and you’ll leave with something handmade to treasure from your Isle of Wight visit.

Plan your own workshop

Looking for a unique Isle of Wight experience?

Our private “Plan Your Own” workshops can be tailored for birthdays, family gatherings, friendship groups, visitors, team-building, hen parties, or special occasions.

Choose your craft, preferred date, and group size for a relaxed and memorable creative experience. Popular options include macramé plant holders, paper flowers, seashell crafts, and seasonal projects.

Island CraftWorks is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a mission to make creativity accessible, welcoming, and joyful for all.

The studio is led by Gabby Ryde, a local creative facilitator passionate about helping people slow down, connect, and explore creativity at their own pace.

Dog-friendly creativity

Private workshops are dog-friendly, and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join your session. Water bowls and treats are provided for your furry companions, and we’re just a short walk from Ryde seafront.
