About
Kaleidoscope Gong & Sound Bath at Quay Arts
Join me at Quay Arts for a Sound Journey to explore harmony through shared resonance. A uniquely designed Gong & Sound Bath with Symphonic Gongs Bowls & Chimes celebrating the richness of our differences, and the connections that bring us together, in recognition of Pride Month and the spirit of Stonewall.
WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?
A Sound Bath, sometimes called a Sound Journey, is a full-body listening experience where participants lie down or sit comfortably while sound and vibration gradually unfold around them.
Using instruments including Symphonic Gongs, Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls and Chimes, a carefully designed sequence of sounds creates layers of tone, texture and resonance. Many people experience deep relaxation, dreamlike states, enhanced focus, or simply an opportunity to switch off from the demands of everyday life.
No effort is required and no experience is needed, simply get comfortable and allow the sounds to wash over you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You'll be invited to lie down (or sit if preferred) and make yourself comfortable using mats, blankets, cushions and any other props you enjoy relaxing with.
Following a short settling-in period, the session unfolds through a variety of sounds, frequencies and vibrations, with periods of stillness woven throughout. Participants often report feeling deeply relaxed, calm and rested, while others experience vivid imagery, creative thoughts or a heightened sense of awareness.
Every experience is unique, and there is no right or wrong way to experience a Sound Bath. Simply turn up, get comfortable, and enjoy an hour dedicated entirely to listening, resting and being present.
SOUND BATH BENEFITS
It is always helpful and nourishing to honour oneself with TIME. The simple act of taking time out can be beneficial in itself.
Many participants report some / all of the following:
Deep sense of relaxation
A shift of 'stuck' energy
A physical / mental release of tension
Calming and quietening of the mind
Increased focus and clarity
Improved quality of sleep
Visual experiences / Internal Journeys
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Blankets - as many as you can carry! Sleeping Bags also work well.
2 x Pillows / Bolsters – One for under the Head & one for under the Knees
Yoga Mat or Bed Roll to lie on
Eye Mask / Eye Pillow / Scarf to cover the eyes
Warm, comfy layers of clothing - It can feel much colder when we are lying still for a while.
