About

The Crown & Bear is a Tudor style, family run, independent pub based in Brading High Street. Previously known as Hungry Bear the new pub is bringing the building's past into the future. The pub is located within Rectory Mansion, one of the most historic buildings on the Island and was once owned by Henry VIII.

The Crown & Bear offer affordable, quality food and drink. Fond classics are served with a modern-day flare and roasts are served every Sunday. Local produce is served, look out for local ingredients on the specials board. Food is served all day from 12pm, take a look at the sample menus here. There is a bar that provides draft beer as well as tea and coffee.

Enjoy the delicious food on offer as well as learning about the history of the pub and the town of Brading.
