AggieFest on the Isle of Wight
Join us for AggieFest, a joyful community celebration of the life and legacy of Aggie Weston, the much-loved Victorian philanthropist and devoted friend of the Royal Navy.
Across four days, venues around Ryde and East Cowes will come alive with live music, singalongs, open mic nights, and special performances in her honour. Whether you’d like to listen, perform, or simply soak up the atmosphere, everyone is welcome.
Events will take place at the much-loved local venues The Star Coffee & Ale House, The Solent Inn, the beautiful Royal Victoria Arcade, East Cowes Town Hall and the Holy Trinity church in Bembridge.
Thursday 5th March
- East Cowes Town Hall (2pm - 4pm): An uplifting afternoon singabout with Independent Arts. £3 entry (includes refreshments).
- The Solent Inn (from 8.30pm): Open Mic Night hosted by Ruby & Jim – bring your voice, your instrument, or just your applause!
Friday 6th March
The Star Coffee & Ale House:
- 6.30pm: Live music from The Anywhens
- 8.30pm: Feck! take to the stage
A lively evening of great local music and good company.
Saturday 7th March
The Solent Inn:
- 2pm – 5pm: A heartfelt celebration of Aggie Weston’s life in word and music, featuring The Watch & friends.
- From 6pm onwards: Open Mic Folk Singalong – join in with your favourite traditional tunes.
Sunday 8th March
The Star Coffee & Ale House:
- Midday – 3pm: The Star Folk Group (all welcome to join in!)
- 4pm – 6pm: The East Cowes Shanty
- From 7pm: The Crew
A full day of folk, sea songs, and community spirit.
Special Concert Event - The Cloisters, Holy Trinity Church, Bembridge
An evening concert featuring The Sea Gels and The Cornish Lark, raising funds for WightFutures and Pops Wood Nature Reserve.
