Isle of Wight Steam Railway marks 150 years of railway history

Visit the Isle of Wight Steam Railway on the 29 and 30 November for a celebration marking 150 years of the Isle of Wight's historic railway line. Step back in time as you ride a stunning mix of heritage and modern trains, a loving tribute to generations of railway history.

Festive ales

Raise a festive toast at the Steam Railway's Real Ale Bar, where seasonal Christmas brews and a cosy atmosphere will have you feeling the spirit of the upcoming festive season.

Joint ticket with Island Line

Isle of Wight Steam Railway and Island Line are providing a joint all day travel ticket valid for travel on Island Line and the Steam Railway. This ticket allows for unlimited travel for the day between Ryde Pier Head, Smallbrook, Shanklin and Wootton stations as well as the Isle of Wight Steam Railway trains. The joint ticket can be purchased online here.

Free entry to Havenstreet Station site

During the weekend of the Gala and Ale Festival entry to the Havenstreet Station site is free. 

Train tickets

To travel on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway train, tickets are available to purchase in advance online here. Or you can purchase tickets on the day at the Havenstreet booking office.
