Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival 2026

Step into a world of imagination, invention and eccentricity at the Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival, returning to the seaside town of Ryde from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026.

Whether you're a dedicated steampunker, a fan of alternative fashion or simply looking for something different to do on the Isle of Wight, this colourful weekend promises music, entertainment, creativity, shopping and plenty of wonderfully eccentric fun.

Throughout the weekend, expect spectacular costumes, Victorian-inspired inventions, live music, dancing, competitions, performances and an eclectic selection of independent traders and makers.

The free daytime programme runs on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Highlights include Tea Duelling and Teapot Racing, alongside an indoor market filled with unusual creations, vintage-inspired treasures, artwork, clothing, accessories and specialist goods.

The fun continues into the evening, with entertainment on Friday and Saturday from 7pm until late. Enjoy live music, dancing and spectacular performances as the festival atmosphere continues after dark.

Dressing up is encouraged, but everyone is welcome – whether you're arriving in full steampunk splendour, putting together a Victorian-inspired outfit or simply coming along to enjoy the spectacle.

While you're in Ryde, make a weekend of it and explore the town's independent shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants, seafront and beaches, or venture further afield to discover more of the Isle of Wight.

The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival is a celebration of creativity, community and imagination, bringing a wonderfully unusual atmosphere to Ryde.
