Families love Blackgang Chine

Found at the very southern tip of the Island, Blackgang Chine is the UK’s original theme park and a wonderland for children, with so much to discover. In 2018 this magical land will be 175 years old with fabulous birthday festivities planned throughout the year.

From life-sized dinosaurs, to having a cap gun fight at the Cowboy Village, to watching the Dodos, Blackgang Chine is guaranteed to light up Isle of Wight holidays.

Tech Free Family Time

There is nothing quite like spending time on an Isle of Wight beach with the family. From sand castle building to swimming in the safe, family-friendly water, spending time on our coast will take you back to the freedom of your own childhood holidays.

From sunset crabbing at Bembridge, picnics on the beach at Sandown, cliff top hikes and adventures across the Downs – the Isle of Wight encompasses all that’s beautiful and restful about the English countryside.

Family fun across the whole Island

On the far west of the Island, you’ll find The Needles Landmark Attraction, our iconic landscape attraction. Enjoy a spectacular chairlift ride down to the beach, make your own coloured sand souvenir and watch glass blowing at Alum Bay Glass among other delights.

Also located in the West Wight, Tapnell Farm Park has got it all – wander among the wallabies, watch the marvellous meerkats doing their thing and feed the goats. An indoor play barn will keep the kids entertained even in the rain, and the outdoor play area includes the ever popular jumping pillow.

Into the woods!

With 88 acres of ancient woodland to explore and adventurous rides for children and adults alike, Robin Hill Country Park is a firm family favourite attraction.

In the winter months, Electric Woods events light up the park creating the unforgettable sensation of being in a spectacular illuminated woodland on a cold winter’s evening.

Get your family fix of historical attractions

Carisbrooke Castle is a stunningly situated castle that once imprisoned Charles I. Today, enjoy beautiful views from the keep, meet the donkeys operating the 16^th century treadwheel and feel history brought to life.

In East Cowes you’ll find Queen Victoria’s favourite family holiday home Osborne. Relax in the gardens, wander down to her private beach, enjoy the ambiance of the royal house; it’s a must-visit.

The Isle of Wight Steam Railway takes you on a nostalgic journey to the days of steam travel – ride on the train, visit the falconry and find out more at Train Story.
