Dog friendly cottage
We welcome well behaved dogs in the downstairs areas - up to 3 house trained dogs are welcome and the wild garden is perfect for them.
Farm stay
Somerton Farm Holiday Cottage is located on a working farm so access to surrounding fields does depend on farming activity. There are horses kept on the farm and the owner visits regularly to tend to them. Sheep and cattle are in the surrounding fields. Best of all we have two resident donkeys who will eeyore a welcome to you on arrival. The Park & Ride is a very short walk as is the local supermarket.
Perfect base to explore the Isle of Wight
Somerton Farm Holiday Cottage is located just moments from the vibrant sailing town of Cowes and is perfectly positioned for exploring everything the Isle of Wight has to offer. Set near the mouth of the River Medina, Cowes is split between East and West, connected by a unique floating bridge, and offers a lively mix of coastal charm, independent shops, restaurants, and watersports.
West Cowes is internationally recognised as a hub for yachting and sailing events, while also serving as a gateway to some of the island’s best cycling routes. Across the river, East Cowes is home to the stunning Osborne House, once the seaside retreat of Queen Victoria, where visitors can explore beautifully preserved interiors and gardens.
From sandy beaches and scenic coastal walks to iconic landmarks like The Needles and events such as the Isle of Wight Festival, the island offers something for every type of holiday. Whether you’re planning a relaxing countryside escape, an active walking or cycling break, or a fun-filled family adventure, Somerton Farm is an ideal base.
With easy access to local transport links, including bus routes and ferry connections, you can explore our island at your own pace, or simply enjoy a walk into Cowes and soak up the atmosphere along the way.
