Heritage Open Days: Museum of Island History & Charlotte Mew Theatre Walk
Step back through thousands of years of Isle of Wight history at the Museum of Island History as part of Heritage Open Days.
Set within Newport's historic Guildhall, the museum brings the Island's past to life through a collection of objects, stories and exhibits spanning from prehistoric times through to the modern day. Entry to the museum is free and no booking is required.
The day also offers the chance to discover the story of Isle of Wight-born poet Charlotte Mew through an immersive theatrical walking experience. Created by StoneCrabs Theatre, the guided performance begins at 11am at the Yellowfin Propeller, opposite Quay Arts, before making its way through Newport and finishing at the Museum of Island History.
Please note: advance booking and a £10 ticket are required for the Charlotte Mew theatre walk.
