Tuesdays 3rd March and 17th March
7-9pm
Explore the traditional folk art of creating embroidered and embellished waistcoats for folk celebrations and activities such as carnival, Morris dancing and may day celebrations. Be inspired by New Carnival's Folktastic Isle exhibition and create a waistcoat to wear in this summer's IW Mardi Gras parade (optional).
Use recycled materials to create your own bespoke waistcoat. Participants will learn to use a variety of embroidery, applique and embellishment techniques.
NB: The course is run over two evening sessions.
