The Gallery - Classic Boat Museum

Situated in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight, The Gallery has an extensive collection of maritime artefacts, boat models and photographs.

The museum highlights the British maritime history from the 16th Century onwards and includes a large spectacular reproduction of the Cowdray engraving of the sinking of the Mary Rose in 1545.

The large exhibition room displays a collection of maritime artefacts and drawings that includes Thomas Rowlandson's 18th Century unique drawings of Island life that shows the human element and the social history of the Island. 

There is also a sister maritime museum, The Boat Shed, that is located in West Cowes, just across the River Medina.
