Next to the Monument on top of Culver Down sits the Culver Haven, a family-run freehouse pub with fantastic views: From Portsmouth, past Bembridge, all the way across Sandown Bay. Situated on the downs with beautiful walks along the cliff tops and down to the beaches. There’s plenty of free parking too.

We specialise in a home-cooked traditional British menu using fresh local ingredients and suppliers to complement regional beers and great wines, along with freshly ground coffee and a variety of teas.

In summer watch the wild sheep crop National Trust land or the cattle grazing nearby, in the winter warm yourself by our fire. Whether it’s a slice of home baked cake, a light bite or full meal, the Culver Haven makes a great spot to relax and dog biscuits are free!

From East Cowes ferry, second exit at roundabout onto Well Road, A3021, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3056 to Lake, A3055 to Sandown.

From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Ryde (Esplanade), straight along the Esplanade to the boating lake, follow the road round to the right onto A3055 to Sandown.

From Yarmouth ferry, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3056 to Lake, A3055 to Sandown.
