About
Welcoming coffee experience on the Isle of Wight
Tucked away in some of the Isle of Wight’s most charming coastal towns, PO41 Coffee House has become a favourite destination for everyone seeking exceptional artisan coffee, homemade treats and a warm island welcome. With locations in Yarmouth, Cowes and Ryde, PO41 combines a passion for great coffee with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that reflects the character and charm of our island life.
Whether you are exploring the historic harbour town of Yarmouth, enjoying the sailing in Cowes, or arriving in Ryde by train or ferry, PO41 Coffee House offers the perfect place to pause, recharge and savour the moment with a beautifully crafted cup of coffee.
Locally roasted artisan coffee
At the heart of PO41 Coffee House is a dedication to crafting the perfect cup. The team proudly serves a bespoke house blend that is roasted locally on the Isle of Wight using ethically sourced speciality-grade beans from Costa Rica, Brazil and Honduras.
These premium beans are roasted weekly to ensure freshness and consistency, allowing every cup to deliver the same rich, balanced flavour. From smooth cortados to creamy oat lattes and classic espresso, the focus is always on quality, flavour and a carefully prepared coffee experience.
Homemade treats and delicious refreshments
While coffee is the star attraction, PO41 Coffee House offers much more than just a great brew. Visitors can enjoy a tempting menu featuring island-brewed teas, homemade cakes, pastries and savoury snacks.
During the warmer months, the menu expands to include refreshing smoothies, indulgent frappes and classic affogatos. These seasonal favourites are perfect for enjoying on a sunny day by the sea or while strolling through one of our island’s picturesque towns.
Unique story in the heart of Yarmouth
The story of PO41 Coffee House began in Yarmouth (Old Post Office, Quay Street, PO41 0PB) in 2014, when the town’s former post office was transformed into a welcoming coffee shop full of character and charm.
The name “PO41” pays tribute to the town’s postcode and celebrates the building’s heritage. Inside, original features such as the letterbox and pigeonholes remain, creating a distinctive setting that blends history with a modern café experience.
Growing across the Isle of Wight
Following the success of the Yarmouth coffee house, PO41 has expanded to bring its signature coffee experience to other parts of our island.
In 2024, a second location opened in Cowes on Bath Road (PO31 7QN). Known for its vibrant sailing and bustling waterfront, Cowes provides the perfect setting for another PO41 Coffee House.
The newest and largest PO41 location can be found in Ryde at the Esplanade train station (PO33 2HE). It’s perfectly positioned when arriving by train, bus or ferry, and offers a quick service alongside the same high standards and friendly atmosphere that define the PO41 experience.
