Calling all wannabe birders

It’s that time of the year when birds are looking to migrate back to the UK, whilst some are already building their nests ready for a busy summer ahead. With that in mind, why not take part in the Birdwatching Walk at Newtown? You’ll be able to learn all about birds, from how identify them to discovering about the birds which migrate to Newtown. The event takes place on Saturday, March 25. The walk is free, but donations are welcomed. 

Show your mum love

Mothering Sunday is the 26th March 2017 and the Isle of Wight is the perfect place to say “I love you Mum”. Treat mum to afternoon tea at the Needles Old Battery, with a specially prepared menu including delicious cakes, sandwiches, scones, and tea or coffee. Booking is essential and it’s £12 per  adult and £6 per child.

We're Celebrating English Tourism Week, with a great weekend of guided walks

Spring in your Step is the perfect opportunity to take in the some of the stunning scenery the Island offers, introduce your family to walking on the Island – there are plenty of walks to suit different needs and abilities. An evening of Irish food and entertainment

If you’re looking for the luck of the Irish, the Garlic Farm have a great St Patricks Day celebration with Guinness and amazing food to enjoy. There will also be live music and plenty of dancing as the evening goes on. Tickets cost £24.95 which includes a three course meal and a welcome drink. 

Live the Vintage Glamping dream

Vintage Vacations were one of the first places to offer Glamping holidays in the UK and they’re celebrating English Tourism Week by opening their doors for a ‘look see’. Find out why the Independent called them the “Country’s coolest caravan park” – and have a look at the American Airstream Caravans which have been such a success for them. Pop along between 12 and 4 on Thursday, March 30.

Music to your ears

Join the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra at Medina Theatre on Saturday 18th March, for a night of wonderful music. The concert is suitable for all and includes Ravel's Piano Concerto, with popular soloist Viv McLean. Tickets are priced at £14.50 for adults and £8 for children. Book early to save disappointment.
