Tuesday Evening Clay Class at Quay Arts

Discover the joys of working with clay in this relaxed and friendly weekly class at Quay Arts, suitable for complete beginners as well as those who already enjoy getting creative with clay.

Tutor Chris Gale will introduce you to the basics of clay-making, including hand-building, sculpture and decorating techniques. Please note that this class does not include pottery wheel throwing.

Creating a finished piece takes time, so you’ll need to attend multiple sessions to complete the full process. This includes making, drying, first (bisque) firing, decorating and a final glaze firing.

Whether you're completely new to clay or a regular looking to continue developing your skills, come along and get creative in a welcoming environment.
