Set on a rare breed smallholding in Thorness, The Old Cowshed is a newly converted barn providing a peaceful escape with a little bit of luxury thrown in, any time of the year. We are a working smallholding and you’ll find sheep, cows, chickens and a couple of friendly ponies occupying the fields surrounding the property.

Enjoy sea views and countryside from the decking and garden and maybe relax in the hot tub after a hectic day exploring our beautiful Island. Both the coastal footpath and the round the Island cycle routes are on the doorstep, and the towns of Yarmouth, Cowes and Newport are only a short drive away. In the colder months cosy up in front of the log burner and watch the weather through the large picture window.

All on one level, The Old Cowshed can accommodate four guests in two bedrooms - one with a superking bed (en-suite) and one with a kingsize bed that can also be split to provide twin beds. We can also provide a travel cot and highchair if required for little ones. Both bedrooms have doors opening on to the generous decking.

We welcome up to two dogs free of charge with a large, enclosed garden for them to run in. There is free satellite broadband and Wi-Fi throughout the property and an EV charging station too.
