Welcome to the House of Logs, a Norwegian-built log house in the peaceful setting of Totland Bay.

Extensively refurbished, the house provides a comfortable haven for its guests, whilst the garden is a magnet for wildlife, including red squirrels and badgers. Appropriate food is provided.

There are glimpses of the Solent and the mainland from the terrace at the front of the house and from some of the first floor rooms.

Please note that the house is built on a sloping site and that most of the accommodation is on the first floor which means steps.

Opposite the house is the coastal path which runs through Headon Warren – a site of special scientific interest – to Alum Bay and the Needles; and across to Tennyson Down.

The nearest beach is Widdick Chine which is a short walk away, there are steps. Totland beach is a little further and is a flat walk with a sandy beach and safe bathing.

Where possible, local or British products have been used to furnish the house. The wrought iron beds are from the Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Company of Norfolk; Welsh wool blankets have been sourced to make cosy additions to bedding. All the mattresses, sofas, dining furniture and kitchen cabinets are made in England. Original works of art adorn many of the walls. As much re-cycling as possible has been employed, but rest assured that everything is smart, clean and works!
