Spooky Half-Term Adventures at Isle of Wight Museums
Discover history, mythology and Halloween creativity this October half-term with family-friendly activities at two Isle of Wight museums.
At Newport Roman Villa, on 21 and 28 October from 10am to 2pm, children can follow a spooky trail around the ancient site, explore skeleton imagery in Roman mosaics and make a Roman-style Halloween mask to take home.
Meanwhile, the Museum of Island History hosts its own mythical adventure on 20, 22, 27 and 29 October, from 10am to 1pm. Hunt for clues to uncover mysterious winged creatures from myth and history, then create a moving mythical monster of your own.
There’s no need to book, and admission, including activities, is just £1 per person. Organised by the Isle of Wight Heritage Service, these events offer an affordable and engaging way for families to explore the Island’s heritage over the school holidays.
