The Highdown Inn is a beautiful example of a traditional country pub and bed and breakfast set in Isle of Wight National Landscape (formerly known as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) complimented by a rich history across the west of The Isle of Wight.

Isle of Wight local produce

Mingle with the locals in the friendly bar whilst selecting your meal from the daily blackboard specials, and enjoy an excellent meal either at a table in the bar or in our sumptuous restaurant. We are noted for our local produce, seafood and shellfish and you can complement your meal with a wine from our extensive stocks or a cold beer or real ale.

Treat yourself to a seasonal break and enjoy evenings in front of our roaring log fire sampling the delights of our seasonal menu. This includes various 'game' specialities.

Tennyson tea room

Treat yourself to a delicious cream tea or high tea at The Highdown Inn, available throughout the day. The cream teas feature plain or fruit scones served with clotted cream and home-made preserve. For something more indulgent, the high tea includes a tempting selection of scrumptious sandwiches, plain or fruit scones with cream and home-made preserve, plus a choice of cakes of the day.

Walkers and cyclists welcome

We welcome walkers (muddy boots or not), cyclists and dogs as well, so feel free to come in and soak up the atmosphere or you may prefer to relax in our garden or patio area whilst enjoying a drink or a meal, the choice is yours.
