The Island Planetarium has been "Reaching for the Stars" for 25 years, offering a fascinating journey through time & space; stimulating your mind and immagination.Full Dome Planetarium shows and immersive science shows are run in our astrodome theatre, each show lasts for around 25 minutes. This man-made Universe will take you places you have never been before, from the surface of the Moon, the planets and to the depth of outer space in our immersive ASTRODOME 360 STAR-THEATRE.
Make sure you leave time to explore the various space-science displays and The Robert Hooke Society Exhibition, dedicated the great Island scientist/inventor Dr Robert Hooke, born in Freshwater in 1635 and surveyor of the City of London after the Greatr Fire.

Stargazing evenings are split into two sessions. The first taking part regardless of whatever the weather.

Stargazing Weekends run on the weekend nearest the New Moon from September to March.
