Stargazing evenings, stargazing weekends and other events vary.
The Island Planetarium has been "Reaching for the Stars" for over 20 years, offering a fascinating journey through time & space; stimulating your imagination & mind, in our astrodome theatre & exhibition.
This man-made Universe will take you places you have never been before, from the surface of the Moon to the depth of outer space in our immersive ASTRODOME 360 STAR-THEATRE.
Make sure you leave time to explore the various space-science displays and exhibition dedicated the great scientist/inventor Robert Hooke, born in Freshwater in 1635.
Full Dome and Planetarium shows are run in the Astrodome theatre, each show lasts for around 25 minutes.

Stargazing Evenings from the end of July until early September
Stargazing evenings are split into two sessions. The first taking part regardless of whatever the weather.
First Session - using the Planetarium Star Theatre

£10 per person.
Stargazing Weekends run on the weekend nearest the New Moon from September to March.
Whether you are an absolute beginner or a serious amateur astronomer, we promise an enjoyable and worthwhile weekend amongst the stars.
