Spitfire House is a secret jewel in Ventnor’s Bohemian crown with over 50 5* reviews. Named after the majestic spitfire aircraft that regularly fly over, this stylish property offers fantastic sea views and a luxurious finish with an abundance of world famous Isle of Wight festival posters throughout. If you’re lucky, you may even get the chance to witness the spitfire and its aero-acrobatics, including the iconic victory roll.

Situated nearby are Ventnor town and beach, as well as the timeless Steephill Cove. With plenty of foodie hotspots to choose from, Ventnor is a brilliant holiday destination with lots going on throughout the year, including the quirky Ventnor Fringe Festival in July, Ventnor Day, live music in the park and Ventnor Carnival. Spitfire House offers the perfect birds-eye view of the annual Round the Island sailing race in June when roughly 1000 boats descend on these historic waters.

An ideal spot for walkers and cyclists, Spitfire House is located along the old railway line of Ventnor West, just a short distance from the popular  Ventnor Botanic Gardens. It faces south, looks out across the English Channel and affords you privacy with mature woodland behind. To take in  the beautiful views in this peaceful neighbourhood, there is a balcony- perfect for letting your mind wander. To the back there is a private garden  with Mediterranean planting, complementing that holiday vibe.

It’s a perfect property to pick for your holiday and can accommodate six guests. The master bedroom has an en-suite, affectionately dubbed the Narnia Room as it is concealed by a set of built-in wardrobes. There is a family bathroom as well as a utility room with a WC and a substantial open-plan lounge (with balcony access), kitchen and diner with ceiling fans.

GROUND FLOOR

Spitfire House sleeps 6. One kingsize bed, one queen size bed and one twin room with two single beds. We can also accommodate one infant and supply a travel cot and high chair (on request). Family bathroom and en-suite shower to kingsize bedroom. Towels provided and hairdryers in each room.

Off-road parking for two cars and a private, enclosed garden with secure shed ideal for golf clubs or walking and cycling gear (key on request), Mediterranean planting, rockeries, and a patio with dining table and chairs for 6 guests.

FIRST FLOOR

Open-plan lounge, kitchen, diner. Excellent sea views and balcony access from the lounge with wall-mounted television. A well-equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, grill, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. A large dining table comfortably seats 6 guests. Adjacent utility room with a washing machine, dishwasher and extra WC.
