Free admission, free park and ride
Preceded on the Wednesday evening (Dec 4th) by the special "Light up a Life" carol service in Brighstone Church at 7pm in aid of Mountbatten Hospice to which all are welcome, the Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival opens the next day in all eight locations until Sunday Dec 8th. After which three locations will remain open until Jan 1st (St Mary’s Church, The Isle of Wight Pearl, and by arrangement, the Methodist Church).
A myriad of attractions awaits you to put you in the festive mood. FREE PARK & RIDE; FREE ADMISSION; AND FREE MULLED WINE WHILE STOCKS LAST.
Over 250 theme decorated trees in eight venues (Brighstone Church, the Methodist Church, The Wilberforce Hall, The Three Bishops Pub, The Reading Rooms, Mottistone Church, the Isle of Wight Pearl and The Sun Inn at Hulverstone). Plus children's trees in the library and on Saturday and Sunday you can see Santa (between 11am and 4pm) in his Santa's Grotto at the Isle of Wight Pearl (the starting point for the Park & Ride). Musical entertainment, concerts, carol singing, craft fairs, cake raffles, and over the weekend a mini market, hand bell ringing, Santa's Grotto, Winter Wonderland and Snowflake Disco, Lace-making Demonstrations, and face painting. All Concerts during the festival and into the following week in Brighstone Church set against the stunning backdrop of all the trees. Delicious refreshments available daily. Park and Ride - the free park and ride will operate from the Isle of Wight Pearl on the Military Road and proceed in a circular route through Brighstone, Mottistone and Hulverstone taking in all venues before returning to the Isle of Wight Pearl. Buses arrive and depart from the stops at the Methodist Church, the Three Bishops Pub in Brighstone, Mottistone Church and the Sun at Hulverstone about every 15-30 minutes. The service is 10am to 5.30pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So you can leave your car free of charge and relax. Onboard donations welcomed.
