Every summer, Blackgang Chine transforms into Summer Fest, a spectacular blend of entertainment, rides, music, foam, fireworks and family fun that runs every Wednesday throughout the summer school holidays. 

From day adventures to night-time magic

Summer Fest isn’t just an evening party, it’s a full day-to-night experience that makes the most of Blackgang Chine’s unique clifftop setting and thrilling rides. From the moment the park opens, visitors can enjoy all the usual attractions, from immersive themed areas and interactive walk-throughs to rides that range from family favourites to more thrilling experiences. 

Your general admission ticket gives you access to all of this plus the Summer Fest evening events, and it even includes 7 days of unlimited free return entry, so you can make a week of your holiday with multiple visits. 

Wild west fun 

Before the evening festivities kick off, Summer Fest Wednesdays begin with special Wild West entertainment in Cowboy Town. Between around 11am and 3pm, this themed area comes alive with:

• Action-packed live cowboy shows full of theatrical storytelling. 
• Thrilling shootout games and performances that will entertain everyone. 
• A buzzing atmosphere with characters interacting with you, perfect for photos and playful fun. 

Summer Fest evening entertainment

As the sun sets, Summer Fest ignites with a lively programme of events designed to entertain everyone:

• Live DJ and vibes - from around 6:30pm, a live DJ fills the air with upbeat tunes, summer anthems and family-friendly tracks that set the tone for a night of fun. 
• Foam party – join the famous foam party, which kicks off around 8:00pm. Foam cannons fire, creating waves of bubbles that fill the party zone, a hilarious and unforgettable experience for kids and adults alike. 

Confetti, lights and family fun

Alongside music and foam, Summer Fest splashes the night with colourful confetti, lighting effects and a party atmosphere that feels electric when the sun dips below the horizon. Late-night rides remain open for the duration of the event, allowing you to enjoy attractions under stunning evening skies. 

Fireworks finale

The highlight of Summer Fest is the spectacular fireworks display that typically takes place around 9:30pm (timed to coincide with darkness for the best display). Shooting colourful bursts high over the clifftop park, it will captivate everyone.  

Perfectly framed against the dramatic coastal backdrop of the Isle of Wight, the fireworks lend Summer Fest an unforgettable, celebratory feel that makes visiting this event one of the most memorable experiences of the summer season.
