Shanklin Holiday Homes offers a selection of modern, high quality self catering apartments in Shanklin, Isle of Wight, which are just a few minutes from the historic Old Village, miles of countryside and sandy beaches, perfect for your island escape.

Choose from our cliff top locations of The Priory and Highlands with views across the coast or our countryside location of the historic Shanklin Manor - something for everyone!

All of our apartments offer high quality oak furniture, leather sofas, granite topped kitchens, communal gardens and much more. Off road parking is available at all apartments (as well as bicycle stands) and we are able to offer 15% off Red Funnel and Wightlink crossings. Prices include linen and towels, wifi and all utilities. We welcome families and are able to offer travel cots with linen and high chairs for our guests. The apartments are non smoking and pets are not allowed.

With our locations just a few minutes walk away from each other including 5 apartments all at Highlands, we are able to accommodate larger parties across several apartments.

Highlands
Highlands offers a selection of 5 luxurious apartments in an imposing mock Georgian manor on the cliff tops of Shanklin. Taking its name from the grand Victorian house that once stood on the site and was built by the Lord Mayor of London as his holiday home, the old house was later used by the Bishop of Salisbury, became a hotel and then part of Upper Chine School before the current house was built. This was left derelict for many years before being converted and restored to form the apartments. 

Each of the apartments has its own special features, with curved lounges for  apartments 2 and 3, apartment 4’s roof top conservatory and balcony, which enjoy views across Sandown Bay, the very spacious long open plan living area in apartment 5 and duplex loft living in apartment 1. The apartments are found over four floors, garden to second floor, plus apartment 1 in the annex.

Apt 1 (sleeps 4): Duplex loft style apartment, private entrance + direct garden access, king bedroom, bunk bedroom, Jack and Jill ensuite, loft kitchen, WC, living area with dining
Apt 2 (sleeps 5): Ground floor apartment, double bedroom with ensuite, twin bedroom, single bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/diner, lounge, direct garden access via French doors
Apt 3 (sleeps 4): First floor apartment, double bedroom with ensuite, twin bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/diner, lounge
Apt 4 (sleeps 3): Second floor loft style apartment, double bedroom, single bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/diner, rooftop conservatory lounge, private balcony
Apt 5 (sleeps 4): Garden floor apartment, private entrance + direct garden access, king bedroom with ensuite, twin bedroom, bathroom, open plan kitchen/diner/lounge

There are views galore around the property to enjoy with sea views of Sandown Bay and beyond for apartments 1 to 4, as well as views of Shanklin town and the countryside views of the Downs towards Ventnor. Apartment 5 enjoys garden views.

All 5 apartments have quality furnishings with oak furniture and floors, leather sofas, granite topped kitchens with oven/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher (not apt 1), 32” LED TVs with Freesat, DVD players and radios. There is a communal garden laid to lawn. 

Highlands is located right on the coastal path to Ventnor and Sandown, perfect for exploring the coast, and also a short walk from National Trust land and also Isle of Wight National Landscape (formerly known as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). 

Shanklin Manor
Shanklin Manor is a spacious, two bedroom apartment over two floors within the former manor house for Shanklin. Whilst Victorian in age, the site has been a manor since the Doomsday Book and been a house, farm, hostel, hotel and then converted into luxury apartment. 

The apartment has a double bedroom with ensuite, twin bedroom, family bathroom, WC on the ground floor and an open plan living area. The granite topped kitchen includes an oven/hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Quality furnishings are found through the apartment, with oak floors and furniture, leather sofas and a home cinema and entertainment system including LCD TV, HD DVD/CD, Freeview, radio and speakers through the apartment. The apartment benefits from parkland, woodland and farmland views with direct access to the adjoining park opposite the apartment.

Outside, there are 2 acres of grounds including the listed walled garden and summerhouse, with the fuller grounds of the old manor including the Shanklin Cricket Club, Big Meade park, duck pond and children’s play area, so something for everyone of all ages within a short walk. The manor’s former church, St Blasius, is also found at the entrance to Manor Road and open for services. 

The Priory
The Priory offers a luxury two bedroom apartment set within a former Victorian Gentlemen’s residence, found at the top of the cliff in Shanklin and restored to its former glory. From its prime position, the apartment benefits from fantastic sea views across Sandown Bay, which can be enjoyed from the apartment and its private decking.

The accommodation includes a double bedroom with ensuite, twin bedroom, family bathroom and open plan living area. The apartment is furnished to a high standard with oak furniture and floors, leather sofas and a granite topped kitchen with oven/hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. The living area includes a home cinema and music system with LCD TV, Freesat, HD DVD/CD, radio and speakers throughout the apartment.

Outside, there is a large private decked area accessible from the apartment’s lounge to enjoy the sea views and dine outside. Beyond that, there is two acres of communal garden with plenty of places to sit, play, relax and enjoy the garden. The apartment is located on the coastal path connecting you to Ventnor and Sandown, as well as being surrounded by Isle of Wight National Landscape and National Trust land.
