Welcome to 24 Solent Landing

Situated next to two beaches, Solent Landing is a quiet, friendly, gated complex of town houses five minutes walk from the delightful village of Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. There are numerous tourist attractions on the Isle of Wight, or one can relax on the beach watching the boats go in and out of the harbour. Ideal for two families sharing.

Accommodation and facilities 

The house has a well equipped kitchen with a dining table to comfortably sit eight people. One of the double beds can be unzipped and made into a twin beds (single duvets and linen available stored in the wardrobe). Also a double sofa bed, so a total of 11 people can be accommodated, although we only really recommend nine people (one on a truckle bed in bunk room). A travel cot is also available with bed linen if needed. There are various games and toys available for younger guests.

Pets are welcome to stay, provided that any damage is repaired or compensated for.

Coastal location

24 Solent Landing is situated adjacent to the harbour beach and the main beach, there is very easy access to both. There is a small cafe within a few yards. Within 5 minutes walk is the delightful village of Bembridge which has a great mixture of shops and cafes. The coastal path for the Isle of Wight runs just to the side of the property.

The Isle of Wight has numerous tourist attractions for all ages including Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill. There is steam railway, model village, The Needles Battery, Carisbrook Castle, Osborne House, various Gardens, sanctuary and other animal parks, picturesque villages and beaches with access to water based activities and horse riding. The Island hosts a music festival each year. There is a huge selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs, including several within easy walking distance. 

Getting to and around the Isle of Wight

Access to the island is either by ferry (Fishbourne, Ryde, Cowes and Yarmouth), hovercraft (Ryde) or Fastcat (Ryde). Ferry discounts are available when booking 24 Solent Landing. The Island Line railway operates between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin, serving Smallbrook Junction, Brading, Sandown and Lake stations along the way and is less than 2 hours from London (Waterloo station).

There is a good bus service - Southern Vectis providing transport all over the Island. The cycle paths extend for about 200 miles and the popular round the island route is about 65 miles long, enabling one to enjoy the spectacular scenery. The walking routes are also well developed and can be tailored to fit in pleasant stop offs perhaps to take in some of the Islands craft beers or gins!
