Whilst the Isle of Wight weather isn’t always perfect, (much like the rest of the UK!) the sun does seem to shine here a lot of the time!
Because of its sheltered position beneath the cliffs, much of the South of the Isle of Wight in the area known as the “Undercliff” surrounding Ventnor has its very own microclimate.
With the extra sunlight and milder temperatures it is not unusual to see exotic plant life growing, and in the sheltered area to the West of Ventnor the Botanic Gardens boasts an impressive collection of sub-tropical plants and trees.
This has led to the Island often being referred to as the "Garden Isle".
The Isle of Wight weather for the next three days is shown below, so if you are heading here for a break you can plan your trip around it.
If the sun is out you may want to head to the beach, or if it’s looking like rain you could try out one of a number of great wet weather attractions on the Island!
