The Mission offers an ideal retreat for groups of family and friends looking to spend quality time together in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Designed for comfort, sociability and fun, it’s a place where guests of all ages can truly switch off and enjoy island life.
Inviting living space
At the heart of the house is a striking double-height living space that immediately sets the tone. A large wood-burning stove provides warmth and atmosphere, while generous, comfortable sofas invite you to settle in and unwind. This versatile space is perfect for cosy evenings in — whether you’re watching films, tackling a jigsaw, listening to music or simply enjoying good conversation. The house offers several zones to relax and play, including table football, a record player with a wide selection of vinyl, a piano, and a Wii with active, jumping-around games. There is also a 55” Smart TV with access to Netflix and Disney+, making it easy to please everyone.
Bedrooms at The Mission
The Mission has four inviting double bedrooms, allowing up to eight adults to sleep comfortably. For larger groups, a day bed in the main living area provides space for a ninth guest, and a travel cot is available for infants. Each bedroom is made up with super-comfortable beds and quality linens, perfect for sinking into at the end of a full day out and about.
Fully equipped kitchen for your stay
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking everything from simple breakfasts to celebratory group meals. Facilities include a gas double oven, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is plenty of cookware, crockery and glassware, and the dining table can be extended to seat up to twelve guests. Baking enthusiasts will enjoy the range of equipment provided, including a food mixer and processor, along with baking supplies. A Nespresso-style coffee machine, cafetiere and teapots are available, and essentials such as tea, coffee, milk, sugar, oil and basic cooking ingredients are supplied. Fresh herbs grow in the garden and are free for guests to use.
Outside living space
Doors lead from the kitchen onto a sunny terrace, where you’ll find a Kamado barbecue with lumpwood charcoal provided, along with a seating area. In the summer months fairy lights create a lovely atmosphere for relaxed evenings outdoors. Steps lead up to a small, attractive garden with additional seating, ideal for morning coffee or a quiet moment with a book.
