Surrounded by numerous footpaths and trails, The Buddle Inn is the perfect base to explore the unspoiled landscape. Take a short walk to nearby St Catherine’s Lighthouse or discover many routes around Niton that will lead you to Ventnor, Blackgang, St Catherine’s Oratory and Chale.

Historic cosy pub

The rich history and character of this 18th century pub are beautifully showcased through its original oak beams overhead and traditional flag stone flooring. During the Winter months, a roaring log fire offers a warm and inviting retreat, while on sunny days, the terrace provides the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. Booking is recommended for lunch and dinner (not included in the stay).

Dog-friendly stay

The Buddle Inn welcomes dogs and is ideally located for countryside adventures right on the doorstep that is perfect for your four-legged friend. Please let The Buddle Inn know at the time of booking if you’re planning to bring your dog to book the dog-friendly room.  

Ferry discounts available

Discounts are available for both vehicle and foot passengers on Red Funnel and Wightlink ferries.

A raised platform makes for the perfect top table or entertainment space, and you can enjoy a private bar and downstairs facilities just for your guests.

The Barn is available for private hire day to night for up 60 people seat and 90 people standing. Choose from a selection of refined sit-down menus to suit you budget, with buffet catering options also available with guests tended to by our dedicated hospitality team.
