Located near the southernmost tip of the Isle of Wight, Maytime Cottage offers exceptionally spacious high quality self-catering accommodation for up to five people.

The cottage has a large living area with lounge, large kitchen/dining room, and an airy and light garden reception room which opens onto the rear patio. There is an enclosed garden and also parking off road for two cars. There is also an electric vehicle charging point. We welcome visitors with up to two well behaved dogs. WiFi is also included. 

The sleeping accommodation is in three bedrooms, the master is a large double with a King Size bed, a second, also a double with two single beds. The third room has one single bed. There is also a cot and high chair available. There are two shower rooms with WC's, one on the ground floor and the other upstairs. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

Maytime Cottage is set in the valley of the River Yar between St Catherines Down to the West and Stenbury Down to the East. The cottage is situated a mile or so from the coast, near to the villages of Whitwell & Niton. Whitwell is within easy walking distance along a footpath, and has a popular pub (reputedly the oldest on the Island) and a petrol station. Niton has a selection of local shops, a popular bar/restaurant, two pubs, and a particularly good open air restaurant overlooking the sea, which is open during the summer months. The charming victorian resort of Ventnor is a 10 minute drive. Other local places to visit include Blackgang Chine, Appuldurcombe House and St Catherines Lighthouse. There are some excellent walks onto the downs straight from the cottage which take in some of the outstanding coastal scenery this part of the Island has to offer. With our excellent location, there is nowhere on of the Island more than approximately 30 minutes drive from Maytime Cottage.
