The Dinosaur Isle museum have a team of experts on-hand to help with your fossil hunting. They run fossil hunts throughout the year at various locations throughout the Island.
Dinosaur Expeditions Conservation and Palaeoart Centre is housed near Brook. The centre holds displays of fossils & minerals, palaeoart, runs childrens' activities and has a fossil and mineral giftshop. They run fossil hunts from various points on the Island.

Martin Simpson, known on the Isle of Wight as 'the Fossil Man', runs the fossil and gem shop on Godshill High Street. He has produced a popular book on fossil hunting, titled Fossil Hunting on Dinosaur Island, and was heavily involved in the excavation of a significant specimen of the ankylosaur Polacanthus. Martin runs dinosaur fossil hunts thoughout the year.

University of Portsmouth research palaeontologist Dr Steven Sweetman recently found teeth belonging to a very large and extremely fearsome relative of the already scary Velociraptor! Steve provides guided palaeontological tours on the island for experts, families and small groups wanting an in depth personal service.
