AboutThe Isle of Wight is one of the richest areas for dinosaur discovery in Europe, even being hailed the “UK’s Dinosaur Capital” by a Natural History Museum Researcher. With so much rich dinosaur heritage we recommend heading out on your very own “dinosaur safari” along our coast.
Take in a spot of fossil hunting at the beach at Yaverland, before paying a visit to Dinosaur Isle – the UK’s only dedicated dinosaur museum. Head over to Blackgang Chine to meet the almost life-like animatronic dinosaur collection in “Restricted Area 5”, before dropping in at the Dinosaur Expeditions Centre to view their amazing collection of fossils, artefacts and palaeoart.
From there head to Hanover Point at Brook Bay at low tide to hunt down the dinosaur footprints, before finally dropping in at The Needles Landmark attraction to check out the “Lost World” 4D Cinema Experience.
