Many hotels and B&Bs in Cowes and East Cowes offer a glimpse into the sailing and royal heritage of the town as well as a glorious sea view. Villa Rothsay Hotel was regularly frequented by Prince Edward (son of Queen Victoria), The Fountain Hotel in the town centre has been a guest house since the 18th century and today, the New Holmwood offers a spectacular view of the racing from its terrace.

Self-Catering 

There are a large number of self-catering properties in both West and East Cowes and many are available year-round. Ranging from bijou cottages to large houses for suitable for crew, to glamourous apartments with a sea view, there’s something for every taste and budget.  

If you fancy a stay with royal style, try the Indian summer house at Albert Cottage in East Cowes that was built for Queen Victoria’s daughter, Beatrice or even Sovereign’s Gate at Osborne – the private beach and grounds are yours to enjoy after the day’s visitors go home.

Campers are not neglected in Cowes or East Cowes. There are holiday parks and touring parks within easy distance of the car ferry terminal at East Cowes, most of which are located within close proximity to the water.

Moorings 

Many hotels and B&Bs in Cowes have sea views, but to get closest to the water, you can easily moor your boat in Cowes. With a substantial number of yacht clubs and marinas with excellent facilities for both sailors and boats, berthing is easy to arrange for boat owners. Cowes Yacht Haven marina offers lift and launch services, boat repairs and storage on-site, and berths are available year-round.
