As the home of Cowes Week, the oldest and biggest sailing regatta in the world, Cowes is the maritime gateway to the Isle of Wight. Cowes Week takes place at the end of July/beginning of August but there are numerous nautical events on throughout the year, including the famous Round the Island Race at the beginning of July.
Cowes Week isn’t just about the sailing and racing! The shore-side activities include plenty for the whole family to enjoy from children’s activities, live music and delicious street food.
Live music is a popular part of Cowes nightlife and popular pubs regularly host live music sessions. If you're looking for some traditional entertainment, Trinity Theatre in Cowes is the perfect place to catch an amateur dramatic production - with plenty of choice throughout the year. Classic Isle takes places at Barton Manor on July 8th and 9th, with a performances from many high profile names in a celebration of classical music.
Osborne in East Cowes hosts many events throughout the year including a popular Victorian fayre in early summer and a Victorian themed Christmas event.
Back over the harbour in Cowes, Northwood House is a popular venue for different events, from yoga through to a gin festival!
