Cowes is the perfect base to explore the rest of the Island. With fantastic local transport connections, a road leading directly to the centre of the Island and beyond, and plenty of choice for walkers and cyclists, there is nothing to stop you from finding your own adventure.
Southern Vectis provide a regular bus service from both Cowes and East Cowes. If you're looking to explore the Island, why not buy a day rover on the bus - which will take you across the Island - including open top tours.
There are regular ferry connections from Cowes and East Cowes too, so whether you are looking to arrive on the doorstep of your accommodation, or just want to head to the mainland for the day - you have plenty of choice.
And why not rent a bike for the day and explore the Island with pedal power? Cowes has a well maintained bike path - part of the national network - which takes you down an old train line and into Newport.
