Food & Drink

The Isle of Wight is fast becoming the foodie capital of the south coast and it is easy to see why!

Finding great places to eat is one of the highlights of any holiday, and the Isle of Wight offers a fabulous array to cater for all tastes and appetites. As soon as you step off the Isle of Wight Ferry you will be spoiled for choice, with an abundance of English tea gardens, country pubs, quality restaurants and beachside cafes.

Every town and village across the Island will have places to tempt you. Whether you are looking for family friendly or gourmet dining, the Isle of Wight is truly unique in what it can offer. The diversity of the landscape is reflected in the quality and choice of local produce on offer in many of the eateries or from local farmers markets.

Local Produce

The mellow climate ensures that the Isle of Wight is home to a huge variety of local produce; the freshest seafood straight from the fisherman's catch, locally brewed beer, wine and cider, organic fruit and vegetables and delicious locally made ice creams and desserts.

Wight Marque

The Isle of Wight has an abundance of quality food and drink produce and dining establishments that are renowned for their use and support of local produce. The Royal Isle of Wight Society has launched the Wight Marque as a sign of provenance for the Isle of Wight. The recognisable logo clearly identifies individual products, producers and establishments so that buyers can be assured that where they see the Wight Marque logo, it is truly local.
