The Isle of Wight is widely known as one of the most haunted islands in the world. Ghosts and spirits who are yet to move on dwell near the leylines that lie within the Island's landscape. The stories of these ghosts have fascinated residents over the years and brought many 'ghost tourists' to the Island, hoping to catch a glimpse of the shadowy spirits.
In a spooky twist on the traditional tourist guide, the free to download Isle of Fright Ghost Trail app will re-appear this Autumn.
Available until the end of November, the app takes users on a tour of 13 ‘cold spots’ across the Island. Users can listen to a spine-tingling tale of past events and ‘ghost bomb’ their selfies.
The Isle of Fright app has been updated as part of promotions to celebrate the forthcoming ‘Rings’, a new chapter in the beloved RING horror franchise, written by David Loucka and Jacob Estes and Akiva Goldsman, directed by F. Javier Gutierrez.
An in-app competition allows users to win exclusive ‘Rings’ merchandise; but only when you unlock the link to the ‘Dark Site’!
The Isle of Fright app is available from the middle of October for a limited time only!
