Whooping gibbons, mischievous marmosets, cheeky capuchins and alluring owls are just some of the wonderful cast of animals that await your visit at the Island's Gold award-winning sanctuary. Enter the park to find a tranquil environment where a diverse collection of primates relax and play in spacious enclosures and various species of owl spend their days looking elegantly menacing.

Winner of the Gold Award in Best Small Attraction of the Beautiful South Awards for Excellence 2011, the Owl & Monkey Haven continues to expand and develop. New for 2013; New arrivals, refurbished tea room and the heart-warming conclusion to the Martin & Lulu story!

Daily keeper talks and informative guided tours are held at various intervals throughout the day and allow you to learn more about the individual personlities and behaviours of the animals we care for. Get up close and personal with Beau, Ketch and Rosie, the hand-reared owls at the daily bird talks and learn how they came to be in our care. For those wishing to experience a little more interaction why not pre-arrange a marmoset encounter! These tiny South American monkeys are delightfully mischievous and thoroughly enjoy being fed by visitors. 'Xhabu's' tea room offers a wide range of light lunches and refreshments. There is plenty of indoor and outside seating and an adjacent play area for the under 5's. Other visitor facilities include a gift shop, adventure play area for the over 5's, education lodge and excellent disabled access throughout. A visit to the Haven is a truly captivating and heartwarming animal experience for all.
