The brand new augmented reality app will take you along a trail of discovery through the Island's unrivalled dinosaur heritage.

Walking With Dinosaurs 3D
Walking with Dinosaurs: The 3D Movie, set for Global release in December 2013, is a major new blockbuster from BBC Earth Films and Evergreen Films, presented by Twentieth Century Fox & Reliance Entertainment in association with IM Global.

Isle of Wight Fossil Tours
Did you know you can find your very own dinosaurs when you visit the Isle of Wight?! Two of our most popular beaches, Compton Bay and Yaverland, are hotspots for finding fossils. You can also join a guided fossil walk with one of the Isle of Wight's dinosaur experts.

Daisy Morris is our new Children’s Ambassador for the Isle of Wight and a very special fossil hunter herself. Daisy discovered a brand new Dinosaur species on the Island when she was just 4 years old, and in honour of her discovery they named it after her! Read more about Daisy.

Dinosaur Island App Trail
The exciting new Dinosaur Island App Trail based on the ancestral links between the characters in the film and the dinosaurs on the Isle of Wight, will give you the chance to be seen standing alongside dinosaurs in the very place they were discovered.
The new app utilises new technology which allows you to use smart phones and tablets to take pictures of family and friends walking alongside the dinosaurs that roamed the Isle of Wight 130 million years ago, while at the same time learning more about their relatives - the dinosaur characters in the movie. The Augmented Reality App will be available to download from anywhere in the world, but will only be triggered into life at six coastal locations on the Isle of Wight.

There is a special charity dinosaur walk for BBC Children in Need taking place on 30th October, which will take walkers from the Dinosaur Trail point at Blackgang along the coast to the following one at Compton Bay. According to a new Dinosaur Map of Britain compiled by Dr Paul Barrett, Merit Researcher from the Natural History Museum the Isle of Wight is the UK’s Dinosaur Capital!
