The 1940’s Experience

Jitterbug your way back to the 1940s, experience travel by steam train, and relive the hustle and bustle of a country railway station where war time activities collide with every day rural life.

See the farmyard threshing machine working in the shadow of a magnificent WW2 fighter plane, while soldiers prepare for active service. Enjoy songs of the era with female trio ‘The Spitfires’ and meet the ‘French Resistance’ as they take over part of Havenstreet Station!

Watch as 'Queen Victoria' arrives from her home at Osborne by Royal train, and take a trip down 'memory lane' with nostalgic music from Fiona Harrison, while browsing the Victorian stalls offering a wealth of treasures

Isle of Wight Garlic Festival

International Charity Classic Car Extravaganza 
15-16 September 2012, 11am – 5.30pm  
A spectacular collection of classic cars from all over the UK and beyond will decend on the Isle of Wight on September 15th and 16th 2012.

Saturday 15th the show will be held at Newport Quay and Sunday 16th the show will be at Ryde Esplanade. The 2012 show promises a great variety of vintage, classic, custom and retro cars, bikes and other unusual vehicles. In all the will be in excess of 700 vehicles. Tell 020 8439 7871
