Matt and Cat say...
"Tearooms are everywhere in Godshill, but for a savoury lunch visit top gastropub The Taverners - but you'll need to book!
Godshill has long been known as a place to stop and enjoy a cream tea or a nice cuppa - and tearooms are still very much in evidence. But these days there are also some really good places to eat a meal - including what is arguably the Island's leading gastropub, the Taverners. This splendid and hugely popular venue has some satisfying comfort food all year around, and features a really local and seasonal menu with sausages, pies and the excellent chips being some of our favourites. Across the road the Essex is a restaurant worth visiting, with some really good seafood options on the menu last time we dined there. And for the classic family dining experience, the Griffin offers great value and service plus a big garden."
