Theatretrain Isle of Wight provides professional training for young people in the Performing Arts.
When you’re visiting the Isle of Wight why not take part in our singing, dance and drama classes on a Saturday. These classes promise to be fun, build confidence and develop the imagination.
We make sure our fabulous training is accessible to all. Energy, enthusiasm, and commitment are our only entry requirements. Our unique curriculum enables all young people to build a thorough understanding of The Arts, developing technique, confidence, imagination, teamwork and individual expression. Our classes in Singing, Dance and Drama are taught in age groups 4-5, 6-9, 9-12 and 13-18. No experience is necessary.
Our company is unique in the fact that it offers students, not only the chance to perform in local shows, but also in West End Theatres - We have been lucky enough to perform at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, The London Palladium, The Royal Albert Hall, The o2 Area, and many more.
Students are also given the opportunity to take Musical Theatre grades, take part in a yearly pantomime, take part in private auditions for Goldman’s Management and perform at local events - Including, The Wight Proms, Cowes Week and Child of Wight Awards. Our students have also been lucky enough to perform in the Disneyland Parade and travel to New York to take part in Broadway workshops and perform at the Empire State Building.
We teach our students the skills they need to achieve what they want to achieve, with many of our students going on to gain places at the country’s top performing arts schools.
Students of Isle of Wight Theatretrain have gone on to study at leading Performing Arts schools, including: Sylvia Young’s Theatre School, Bird College, Performers College, London School of Musical Theatre, Performance Preparation Academy, Mountview, Tring Park, ALRA, East 15, Rose Bruford, Urdang, Guildford School of Acting, The Academy of Contemporary Music, Emil Dale Academy, to name but a few.
