#71 - Hop on a breezer for one of the most spectacular bus rides in Britain
Isle Of Wight
AboutYou’ve not seen the Isle of Wight’s stunning coastline until you’ve seen it from the open top deck of a ‘Breezer’ bus.
In the East Wight, the Downs Breezer tours the popular coastal resorts of Sandown and Ryde with their golden sandy beaches, as well as the far-reaching views from Brading Down. Explore some of the Island’s many attractions en route, such as Robin Hill Adventure Park, Quarr Abbey and Isle of Wight Zoo.
In the West, the hour-long Needles Breezer takes in the pretty coastal town of Yarmouth with its harbour, seaside castle and pier, before travelling towards the site of the 1970 pop festival where Hendrix and The Doors played for record crowds.
The tour continues to Freshwater Bay, past the Island’s only thatched church before reaching the world famous Needles headland and Alum Bay.
Both routes allow you to hop on and off throughout the day, meaning you can take as long as you like exploring the local beaches and attractions.
