#46 - Live life through the eyes of a giant at Godshill Model Village
Isle Of Wight
AboutYoungsters and the not-so young can be found enjoying the quirky charm of the Model Village with its immaculate reconstruction of two of the Island’s prettiest spots - Godshill and Shanklin.
Each building has been lovingly created over the years, with mini thatched roofs created using traditional techniques and walls made with sand and cement so that they weather over time. There are dozens of local ‘residents’ which are carved out on site, and more than 3000 miniature conifers and shrubs without a branch out of place.
The whole village is built to a 1/10th scale, perfect for younger children who can come face to face with some of the taller buildings.
And in case you were wondering – yes, there is a model village within the model village.
