#37 - Glide along and save your legs on a segway experience
Isle Of Wight
AboutOnce viewed as the future of pedestrianism, the incredible feat of engineering that is the Segway has failed to find its way onto UK pavements, largely due to its slightly unfair classification as a motor vehicle. Whilst Americans in the 40 US States that have made them “pavement legal” merrily glide backwards and forwards, we in the UK are left with nothing but our feet to transport us.
However thanks to Tackt-Isle Adventures on the Isle of Wight you can now join the growing number of Segway users (which include over 1,500 police around the globe) gliding around on one of the world’s greenest transportation devices.
One of their biggest advantages is they are lightweight and easy to transport - so if you’ve got a group and a location, the Segways can come to you. Be warned however – after riding a Segway, you may never want to walk anywhere again!
