#35 - Adopt your very own sidekick for Shrek at Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary
Isle Of Wight
AboutThis has been a firm visitor favourite since 1987 when it was originally founded, and the tranquil setting amongst some of the most loveable animals around makes it almost as much a sanctuary for humans as it is for donkeys.
You only need to glance at the online reviews for the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary to understand why this attraction has been such a hit with visitors over the years.
Relying only on donations (admission has always been free) the centre cares for any donkeys in need of care and attention, which visitors are invited to “adopt” should they choose. They also run various events throughout the season in their courtyard with live music, entertainment and stalls.
