The Isle of Wight has a great range of group friendly attractions to keep everyone entertained, from royal historic homes to ‘meet the animals’ attractions!
Be transported back to the Victorian era at the elegant Osborne House. Walk around the corridors and visit the rooms where Victoria, Albert and their children lived their lives. If you’d prefer to go further back in time, make your way to the medieval Carisbrooke Castle where King Charles I was imprisoned.
Monuments are also great places to visit, and walking or cycling to them means you get to enjoy the beautiful surroundings they’re set within. Visit the Tennyson Monument near Freshwater Bay, St. Catherine’s Oratory (known locally as The Pepperpot) near Blackgang, or the Mottistone Longstone, all set on rolling green hills.
Blackgang Chine, Robin Hill and The Needles are perfect for large family or school visits. These theme parks, set within stunning Isle of Wight countryside are Isle of Wight institutions and well worth a visit.
If you’d like to spend some time with the animals, venture out to one of our award-winning animal attractions. Meet the lions, tigers, meerkats or penguins! Or if you’d prefer to mingle with some of the Island’s older creature residents, visit Dinosaur Isle in Sandown to learn about the dinosaurs that made the Isle of Wight their home in prehistoric times. Regular fossil walks take place on the beaches where you can go in search of your own dinosaur souvenir!
