The Isle of Wight’s Visitor Information Centre in Newport is the place to go to get all of your Isle of Wight questions answered! Talk to our extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic Travel Ambassadors to find out about what's on, the best places to visit and things to do and let them help you create your own bespoke itinerary.
Ideally located in the centre of the Island (the same town as the main bus station), the Visitor Information Centre also contains some fantastic local gifts, produce and Isle of Wight souvenirs to take home to your loved ones after your Isle of Wight holiday. Browse the extensive range of leaflets and flyers on display for attractions and events to ensure your time on the Island is well spent.
Looking for travel advice? Our Travel Ambassadors are experts in giving advice on sustainable travel and can help you out with bus times and routes, bike hire and footpaths. Seeing as you're on holiday, why not give your car a well-earned break too?!
Leave the car at home or at your accommodation and explore the Island by bike. We’ve got miles of flat cycle paths to suit novices looking to relax and take in the stunning sights as well as steep hilly routes to suit the keen cyclist looking to give those leg muscles a work out!
If cycling’s not really your thing, our Travel Ambassadors will be able to talk you through some of their favourite walking trails. The Island has an abundance of footpaths that lead you through grassy fields and along stunning chalky coastlines. The paths come in a variety of lengths and difficulty levels, so you can go for a full-blown trek, or simply walk along the coast from one beach to the next. If you're a seriously keen walker, time your visit to coincide with the Isle of Wight Walking Festival in April/May which offers a variety of walks.
